Skirophória Photos
This is a photo taken before the ritual began. You can see that we had
our altar set up with everything we would need for the ritual, and the fire was
burning nicely.
This is a close-up of the altar itself. We had images of all four gods
being honored: Athena, Demeter, Poseidon, and Apollon. We also had the
basket of barley with the knife buried in it, a bottle of wine, amphora of
water, flowers, a meat offering, a plate of garlic, incense and an incense
burner.
